Hi, I'm Rachel 👋
I'm a senior hairdresser with more than 30 years of experience, helping women care for their hair with confidence, especially when it feels like things are changing.
Some clients come to me for regular cutting, styling or colour. Others come because their hair is thinning, treatment is ahead, or they no longer feel like themselves when they look in the mirror. Whatever stage you are at, you will be welcomed with kindness, experience and practical support.
My approach is personal. I take time to understand your hair, your lifestyle and how you want to feel day to day. Whether you are looking to maintain what you have always liked or find a new way forward, the aim is the same: hair that feels right for you.
I am a National Hair Council State Registered Senior Hairdresser, with extensive experience in cutting, styling and colouring, as well as supporting women through hair thinning, hair loss and regrowth.
Appointments are calm and unhurried. There is time to talk, ask questions and look at the options together, without pressure. My role is to help you feel informed, supported and in safe hands, whether you are coming in for regular hair care or navigating a bigger change.
❤️ What I can help with
From regular cutting, styling and colour to support with thinning hair, hair loss and regrowth, each appointment is shaped around you and your needs.
Hair cutting and styling
Professional cutting and styling for women at every stage of life. This might mean keeping a style you love, adapting to changes in texture or thickness, or finding something that feels more like you now. Every cut is shaped to suit your everyday life, so it feels both comfortable and easy to manage.
Wigs and fitting
Support for women who need or choose to wear a wig, whether because of hair loss, thinning, medical treatment or personal preference. Appointments begin with a consultation so I can understand your needs properly. I will help you explore the options, and provide professional fitting and styling so that the result feels secure, comfortable and like you.
Hair colouring
Thoughtful, well-judged colour for clients who want a natural, well-maintained result. This may include covering grey, softening regrowth or refreshing your existing colour. If your hair is feeling fragile or changing, I will always advise with extra care and only recommend colour when it feels right for your hair.
Trichology consultations
Specialist consultations for concerns such as thinning hair, alopecia, or changes linked to medical treatment. These appointments are a space to talk through what is happening, understand the possible causes, and explore what support may help. My aim is to give clear, honest guidance in a way that feels reassuring.
Hair enhancers and toppers
Hair enhancers, sometimes called toppers, can add volume and coverage while blending naturally with your own hair. I will assess whether this option is suitable for you, and advise on fit, placement and styling to help you achieve a result that feels natural, secure and easy to wear.
Scalp micropigmentation
A specialist treatment that can create the appearance of depth and fullness in areas of thinning hair. Suitability is always discussed carefully, with realistic expectations and natural-looking results as the priority. Certified by the Association of Beauty Therapists.
💜 Kind words from clients
Here are a few words from clients about their experience with me.
Rachel provides an amazing service for those undergoing treatment for cancer and facing hair loss. I first met Rachel 8 years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and she provided great advice on wig choices and then helped me cope with the differences in my hair as it began to grow back. She offers an understanding, professional service and I would certainly recommend her to anyone finding themselves facing hair loss. I now enjoy seeing Rachel for my regular cut and colour and it's so nice to have my hair back to normal, with her help.

Following an early menopause, my already fine hair was definitely thinning at the front above my forehead and this was becoming quite noticeable. Upon learning of Rachel's scalp tattooing, I decided to go for this and she suggested a tear shaped pattern to cover the worst affected area, particularly as I have a small parting at the front. This has been very successful and my scalp does not now show through my hair as it did previously. The procedure took just over an hour and was not painful; not even uncomfortable really. I am very pleased with the outcome and am considering having my double crown at the back of my head tattooed next year.
